- NeoMail - Simple Interface and allows you to set up a custom email signature the first time you log on. Displays all your inbox on the first page.
- SquirrelMail - A few more features and allows you to select all email to move everything to the trash-bin at once. Great for those accounts where you get a lot of junk mail.
- Horde - This is our most complicated email software, but also has the most features. It even has a free calendar and contacts area to keep you organized. This is the only interface where you can access your junk email box before it is automatically deleted. You can aslo control your more advanced junk mail options from within Horde. Has a built-in help feature as well.
- Other Features of WEBMAIL
- Change your email password at anytime from your WEBMAIL interface. This does not affect your access password
- Forward your mail to any other valid email account.
- Create an AutoResponder to automatically answer each and every email you receive. This is great if you are going on vacation or going to be away from your email for a while.

Before you get going, make sure you know your email address along with the following information. (You may need to contact ARKLANET, Internet Service Provider, to get it.) First, information about the e-mail servers:

Start Outlook Express, and on the Tools menu, click Accounts. If the Internet Connection Wizard starts up automatically, skip ahead to step 4. |

Click Add, and then click Mail to open the Internet Connection Wizard.

On the Your Name page of the wizard, type your name as you want it to appear to everyone who gets e-mail from you, and then click Next.
Most people use their full name, but you can use any name—even a nickname—that people will recognize. |

On the Internet Explorer Address page, type your e-mail address, and then click Next. |

On the E-mail Server Names page, fill in the first block of information that you gathered from ARKLANET in step 1, and then click Next.

On the Internet Mail Logon page, type your account name and password. Remember, your account name is your full email address

Click Next, and then click Finish.
Now go up to “Tools” on your file menus
Click on “Accounts”
Click on the “Mail” tab
Find your mail.arklanet.com account
Highlight it and click on “Properties”
Click on the “Servers” tab
At the bottom of the window, check the box that says “My server requires authentication”
Click the “Settings” button
Click “use same settings as my incoming mail server”
Click “OK”
Click “OK” on the Properties box
Click “Close” on the Accounts box
You're ready to send your first e-mail!
Unsure if your new e-mail account is working? Send an e-mail message to a friend and ask them to reply. If they get the message, and you get the reply, your account is ready to roll! If you would like our support team to test your account simply send an email with "test" in the subject line to testemail@arklanet.com and we will reply to complete your test. But if you run into problems setting up your account, Outlook Express offers help. Search for troubleshooting topics from Contents and Index on the Help menu.

For setting up email in Microsoft Outlook: MS Outlook XP E-mail Setup (pop3) 1. Click on Tools button on top, select E-mail Accounts  2. When E-mail Accounts window pops up, choose Add a new e-mail account then click Next.  3. Choose POP3 then click Next.  4. Internet E-mail Settings window, Your Name: Type in your real name E-mail Address: type in your full e-mail address Incoming mail server (POP3): type in mail.arklanet.com Outgoing mail server (SMTP): type in mail.arklanet.com User Name: type in your full e-mail address Password: type in your pass word Note: If you do not want to save your password into your system, uncheck "Remember password". By doing so, you must enter your password each time you start Outlook Express.
